What did I do?
Producing
Helped coordinate filming of three seasons of the series across the U.S. Each site included multiple interviews, b-roll requirements and drone footage.
Photography
Provided portraiture of interviewees for Instagram segments and photographed church services to share the experience of Black Lutherans more broadly across the ELCA. Additionally took care of drone photography to give a sense of scope to the project.
Editing
Working on my first long format (30+min) web series. I worked with a team on Multicam edits of interviews across the different episodes. Additionally, we incorporated YouTube shorts and Instagram Reels of excerpts from interviews for social content to drive viewers to the longer episodes. Also built original graphics for the intro sequence.
A web series featuring stories of African Descent Lutherans
The goal was to share stories from leaders in African Descent Ministries in the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (ELCA).
We set up interviews at congregations across the United States and created a variety of short and long form content, led by host Nicolette Peñaranda.
